Let Fury Have the Hour Teaser Trailer from Let Fury Have the Hour on Vimeo.
This teaser communicates some of the broad elements of style and subject matter that audiences can expect when watching the theatrical release of Let Fury Have the Hour.
The film aims to both inspire and entertain by harnessing the best of what individuals from all walks of life, from all over the world, have to say about how art, music and culture has the ability to bring us all into a closer understanding of each other.
So basically a trailer for a film on The Clash, but of the nearly 5 minute running time for the trailer, pretty much about 30 seconds was devoted to the band and Joe Strummer. Instead, I got a preaching from a bunch of liberals talking about music, etc. A note to the filmmakers, if you are going to put out out a film about Strummer and the Clash, how about concentrating on THAT fact and not a bunch of people preaching.
JH, The Clash have had their say. Their music is still out there. There are other documentaries about the band and their music. If this film is about their influence, their legacy, and the power they gave our culture, that is an angle I haven’t seen explored yet. I’m looking forward to this film.
True Andrew but why promote it as a Clash/Joe Strummer film and then only feature a bunch of people who’s opinion is no different than mine, or yours? This is probably going to end up being a Ant-America/Anti-Republican film wrapped in sheep’s clothing. Sorry to say that, but it is probably true.
JH, as an apparent diehard fan of the Clash you obviously learned alot from Joe Strummer. Keep on smoking that hash pipe my brother. Keep telling yourself that only Republicans are true Americans and anybody who says something you don’t completely agree with is wrong. Try to look at things from only one angle, smear people and things that you don’t like as much as possible, and most importantly get others just like yourself to join you. Rather than enlighten yourself, one should always condemn a movie before it’s even in the theatres based on a 4 minute trailer… Makes me wonder what are you so scared of? Hmmm. Perhaps its the line in the write-up about this movie trying to show “how art, music and culture has the ability to bring us all into a closer understanding of each other.” Wow. I forgot. This type sentiment is not Nationalist, it is anti-American. Friggin’ SHEEP.
Keep those dreams alive… but remember there are people out there who think The Grand Ole Party has been bought and sold down the river a long, long time ago… standing for pure profit and big business. Me, I am going to check out the movie at the local indie theatre with a big bowl of popcorn in my lap and I’ll make sure to hold hands with all of the other liberals who are there.
wow! This clearly is a powerful film… After reading these emotional over-the-top comments, and all from just a TRAILER! excellent work, to the makers of this film. I want to tell all that had such a radical, negative response to this clearly very upbeat and positive film, you have made the very point that the trailer was saying to me. That art transforms viewpoints and emotions. You thus have proven that this documentary is in fact a piece of art, one which I cant wait to see.
Looking forward to this movie. I am a huge Strummer/Clash fan plus other artists like Manu Chao. I believe in the whole sentiments of this film. I have the book but cannot wait for the movie. When is it due for release?
